Helping Hands

On Sunday, Dec. 23, the Knights of Columbus of Harlingen delivered food to assorted families for La Posada Providencia of San Benito, in which they delivered boxes of non-perishable food to underprivileged families. SPIRIT OF GIVING – Area businesses, school district take part in SBN turkey giveaway

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, the San Benito News, in conjunction with the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District and area businesses, provided turkeys to nine local families in need. The families were selected with the assistance of SBCISD Parental Involvement Director Luis Gonzales. The turkeys were provided by area businesses, including the A&V Lopez Super Meat Market in San Benito, where Store Manager Joel Martinez (pictured above) assisted in the turkey giveaway.
