In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, the San Benito News, in conjunction with the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District and area businesses, provided turkeys to nine local families in need. The families were selected with the assistance of SBCISD Parental Involvement Director Luis Gonzales. The turkeys were provided by area businesses, including the A&V Lopez Super Meat Market in San Benito, where Store Manager Joel Martinez (pictured above) assisted in the turkey giveaway. Greyhound Band rocks Alamodome
Members of the San Benito High School Greyhound Marching Band are seen performing at the Alamodome in San Antonio in this the band’s first-ever appearance at the UIL State Marching Band Competition. Trick or Treat!
Children from San Benito arrived at the San Benito News office dressed up in their Halloween best on Wednesday, Oct. 31, for a little trick-or-treating.
