Sanchez swings!
Twelve-year-old Steven Sanchez, son of Erasmo and Guadalupe Sanchez of San Benito, was instrumental in helping the 29 Palms Junior Boys All-Stars make history by bringing the city of 29 Palms, Ca its first Boys Junior League California District 58 championship in the 13-14 year-old age division. Sanchez, known for his defensive skills, also lit up opposing pitchers by averaging .550 over 10 postseason games. She’s Got Spirit!
Alyssa Eileen Hernandez, 9, of San Benito came home with two national championship titles, one of which as the national extreme tumbling champion, after competing July 16-17 at the American Sport Championship tournament and again July 21 at the Cheer Power competition at South Padre Island.
