Dorothy WixsonDorothy Henrietta Henson Wixson was born July 11, 1916 and passed away on December 15, 2010.

Inurnment services will be held for Dorothy Wixson, 94, at Mont Meta Memorial Park Mausoleum on Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m. Dorothy lived in many cities while her husband served his country in the military.

Dorothy was a native of San Benito, Texas, attending grade school and high school in San Benito and working as a waitress at the Vermillion Restaurant in Brownsville, Clayton’s Restaurant in San Benito, Richard’s Downtown Restaurant in Harlingen, and the Jetty’s Restaurant South Padre Island before marrying and following her husband’s Dorothy Wixson pic2service career and retiring to Arkansas. She was a homemaker and long time president of the Fleet Reserve Association. She loved to visit her children and grandchildren, tend her garden flowers, play with her Jack Russel Terriers, and included making and collecting ceramic figures as a hobby.

She is survived by her husband Gail Wixson, Witcherville, Ar.; daughter Jacquin Tyler of Honey Grove, Tx.; son Ronald Peck of Arroyo City, Tx.; sister Patricia Poston of Bayview, Tx.; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
