chickfila, cheddars, and hooters won’t come to San Benito anytime soon. They are planned to be built in harlingen in the near future or already in the works.

Rally’s being on the list is epic. So unfortunate that lot where it use to be can’t make it. Says a lot about San Benito. How many Whataburger restaurants can you think of have ever shut down? I can’t think of one except for the one on that lot.

It would be nice to see the infamous resaca plan come to life. It would be nice to see 732/510 developed between the expressway and business 77 as well as Paso Real. along the expressway on both sides and from the expressway to business 77.

San Benito has done a poor job of being responsible and prosperous with what it already has. It’s hard for businesses to decide to come in when the facts are put on the table and don’t look good.

San Benito should look to McAllen, Edinburg, Mission, Weslaco (even perhaps Harlingen) for business perspective, inspiration and ethics instead of wherever it is they look to currently (China, Matamoros, hard to say, ???, etc)
