A San Benito man is behind bars for physically assaulting his mother over the weekend.
Officers with the San Benito Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance between several family members at approximately 1 a.m., Sunday, March 16, at the 400 block of Franklin Street.
Upon arrival, the officers were advised by a family member that his brother, Eli Frederic Martinez, 19, had allegedly assaulted his mother.
