Four individuals were arrested for stealing beer from a local convenience store, and during the booking process one of the suspects allegedly assaulted a police officer.

Officers with the San Benito Police Department conducted a traffic stop at approximately 4:43 p.m., Saturday, March 15, on a vehicle that matched the description of a get-away vehicle used in a beer run.

“There was a beer run that had occurred at the Stripes on the corner of Business 77 and North Sam Houston,” said SBPD Detective Rogelio Banda Jr.
