San Benito resident Irene Garcia turned 40 Monday, Jan. 3, 2011. Garcia was featured in the San Benito News back in 1971 when she was announced as the first baby born in the city that year. Garcia has three daughters of her own, Laura Cassandra Gomez, Heather Amanda Garcia, and Erika Lynn Garcia. She is the daughter of Gilbert and Diana Garcia of San Benito. (Courtesy photo)
