Cameron County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Deputies made separate area arrests recently in separate incidents.
ALLEGED CRIMINAL TRESPASS
According to a CCSO report, in late March, at around 1:30 a.m., Cameron County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Los Fresnos residence regarding an unwanted subject. Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies made contact with a 32-year-old male who reported a female, later identified as Brenda Nathalie Ramirez, was allegedly banging on his front door.
According to the report, the male subject said he opened the door and Ramirez remarked that she was looking for her boyfriend and allegedly tried to force herself inside the residence.
Sheriff’s deputies made contact with Ramirez who said she was looking for her boyfriend and had tracked his cellular phone to that residence on a mobile phone application. Ramirez informed sheriff’s deputies she realized she was at the wrong residence.
Sheriff’s deputies observed that the victim’s residence was surrounded by a fence and has clearly visible Criminal Trespass warning signs on the fence. The victim requested to file charges.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ramirez and transported her to the Cameron County, Carrizales Rucker Detention Center in Olmito pending arraignment. Ramirez was charged with Criminal Trespass TPC: 30.05, a Class “B” Misdemeanor.
ALLEGED DRUG POSSESSION
On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at around 12:50 a.m., Cameron County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Hwy 106 and FM 345, in Rio Hondo, on a vehicle allegedly traveling with a defective headlamp. Sheriff’s Deputies made contact with the operator of the vehicle identified as 28-year-old Jose Dominguez.
During contact with Dominguez, sheriff’s deputies allegedly detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. Deputies proceeded to conduct a search of the vehicle where they allegedly discovered a cartridge of Tetrahydrocannabinol oil weighing 1 gram along with a vape pen. Deputies further allegedly located Marijuana weighing less than 1 ounce in the vehicle. Dominguez was reported to have claimed ownership of both the THC and Marijuana.
According to a CCSO report, deputies arrested Dominguez and transported him to the Cameron County, Carrizales Rucker Detention Center in Olmito pending arraignment. Dominguez was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance: PG 2 HSC 481.116, a State Jail Felony and Possession of Marijuana, HSC: 481.121, a Class “B” Misdemeanor.
