Cameron County Precinct 3 Constable Adrian Gonzalez is putting his talent for music on display for a worthy cause on Saturday, December 2, 2023. In conjunction with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2410 and the Constable’s office, Gonzalez is presenting a Holiday Tunes for Toys concert, slated between 12-6 p.m. at the Post’s headquarters, located at 2006 N. Whalen Rd. in Harlingen.

The event features multiple live rock n roll bands including Ten Years Gone, and Nasty Habit which feature Gonzalez on vocals. Price of admission for the Holiday Tunes for Toys is one new, unwrapped toy for a boy or a girl per entry. The Constable stressed, however that one toy per entry is the minimum donation and that volunteers on hand will gladly accept more donations, noting that there is a significant need for toys which will be given to local economically disenfranchised children this Christmas season.

Other bands set to perform include Sunset Punch, LF Speed Trap, and Orphanage Road.

Constituents may know Gonzalez as their Precinct 3 Constable, however he also processes a prowess for singing, a love for music and passion for a worthy cause when one comes around. That trifecta recently presented itself when a need for toys to give to less fortunate children in the community became evident this Christmas season.

As the Constable explained, the Marines’ recruiting office relocated from Harlingen to Corpus Christi this year, creating a noticeable void in toy donations and collection drives since the Marines spearheaded the renowned and highly successful Toys for Tots campaign.
