Huddle House, an iconic Southern diner franchise known for its big, hearty breakfasts, and signature Southern hospitality, has announced plans to enter the Rio Grande Valley market with its first location to be in San Benito.
“We chose San Benito as our first RGV Huddle House location because its residents and our concept complement each other quite well. We have complete faith that San Benito is staging itself for tremendous growth in the near future, and we are excited to be a small piece of that. We look forward to building a relationship with the great City of San Benito and of course serving up some great food,” said Luis G. Lopez, owner of development firm L&L Residences, LLC.
“It’s an exciting time for San Benito,” said Julian J. Rios, EDC Board President. “Our New Executive Director, Ramiro Aleman, along with our Board of Directors, strategically worked hard to bring the only Huddle House to the Valley. Working together to bring new businesses to town is important to spur the economic growth as it pertains to property tax revenues, sales tax revenues, and most importantly, job creation. Located next door to Starbucks, Huddle House is prime for success,” concluded Rios.
Ramiro Aleman, Executive Director for the San Benito Economic Development Corporation said, “Part of our strategy is to make San Benito a destination city by attracting companies that are new to the area.” Aleman continued, “We experience a larger economic impact when citizens from neighboring communities dine and shop in San Benito. We welcome everyone to come try the only Huddle House in the RGV.”
