According to the San Benito Police Department, the infant child that was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive in the tub last Thursday, died at a local hospital sometime today.
“Yes it is official,” said Lieutenant Martin Morales Jr. after confirming with one of the detectives on the case.
The mother of the child, whose name has not officially been released, told police last week that she was bathing her infant son and stepped away for a brief minute and that when she returned, the baby was unresponsive and not breathing.

On my vacations in the 80’s, I used to sell the paper with my cousin from San Benito. They were the best two weeks of summer growing-up.
