For the first time in 18 years, the San Benito CISD has decided to build a five-year strategic plan with the help of community members and district employees. Over 140 people showed up to the meeting, which kicked off on Saturday, April 2 inside the Veterans Memorial Academy cafeteria, to give their input on the direction the school district should be taking over the next half decade.
The meeting was the first of five similarly scheduled events designed to give citizens a better understanding of what SBCISD is trying to do. The meeting focused on four separate components of the strategic plan, including: Curriculum and Instruction, Finance, P-16, and public relations.
