Police confirmed today that the infant child that was found unresponsive in the tub last Thursday afternoon was expected to be taken off life support today.
“From what we’ve been told, the child had no brain activity and they were going to take him off life support to see if he would survive on his own,” said Interim Police Chief Michael Galvan.
As of 5:30 p.m. Monday, it had not yet confirmed whether or not the baby had died as a result of the incident. Police reported that the mother was bathing her child and stepped away for a minute, and that when she returned, the baby was unresponsive. The investigation is still ongoing.
