Back in January, Dr. Marc A. Puig began his duties as Superintendent of Schools for San Benito. Puig, who planned to help turn around the financially failing district, was given a 3 year contract.
Well, despite expected progress to be made with the district’s fund balance, Puig decided to resign just six short months into his term, leaving the district once again scrambling to find a replacement.

The obsession with FOOTBALL will soon eclipse any interest in a superintendent. During my days in the classroom, teachers could often to heard saying, “school begins when football season ends.”
In the RGV, that’s 2wks after the regular season.
…and so it begins, once again…
Teacher’s will have to wait a long time before they see a salary increase.
What were the board members thinging? This man is not a good choice for this position! Manuel Cruz has never proven to be a leader but, a dictator. The low test scores at all the campus he has worked at proves he is not the man for this position. He gets very angry and has flys off the handle. He has nothing to show in his resume. The board is messed up!
God help us.
lord help us!
