School Board plans first of three budget workshops

Staff Writer

The San Benito CISD Board of Trustees will hold a budget workshop at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1 at the John F. Barron Administration Building.

On the agenda for the workshop are a review and discussion of the 2014-15 local maintenance budget recommendations and most recent financial audit.

The workshop is one of three planned meetings to be held by the Board before the Aug. 28 regular meeting, when trustees must approve the budget and the tax rate.

Let us see if our Board of Trustees can be this TEAM:

A team is a group of people who function together in an extraordinary way, who trust one another, who compliment each others’ strengths and compensate for each others’ limitations, who have common goals that are larger than individual goals, and who produce extraordinary results.

from Peter Senge, The Fifth Discipline

Let us hope that they work together for the betterment of the district’s children and employees… we can only hope.
