San Benito Lady ’Hounds softball phenom Amber Jasso has been the face of the program since she first set foot on the pitcher’s mound in 2011.

Many broken records, four district championships, several Sweet 16 appearances, two trips to the Elite Eight and one Final Four appearance later, her high school career officially came to an end on Saturday, May 17.

As they say, when one door closes, another opens as Jasso now prepares to begin a new career at the collegiate level in softball.

On Wednesday, May 28, cheers filled the San Benito High School varsity gymnasium as Jasso, in front of her former teammates and coaches, signed a letter of intent to play softball with Huston-Tillotson University in Austin.
