The San Benito Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees may soon select an interim superintendent to replace Alfonso Obregón, whose contract expires Nov. 27.
On the agenda for a special board meeting scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, are closed session items that includes a status report on the investigation into suspended Superintendent of Schools Antonio G. Limón, who Obregón has replaced in an interim capacity since late May, discussion and possible action on reinstating Limón to his post, and appointing Obregón’s replacement should the a reinstatement not occur.
