PORT ISABEL 49, BRO. ST. JOSEPH 18: At Port Isabel, the Tarpons continue to rack up impressive wins.
J.J. Gonzalez had 138 yards and 3 TDs rushing and the Seawall Defense stymied St. Joe’s high-octane offense as the state’s No. 9 team cruised to its fourth win.
PI (4-0) got all-around performances from Jacob Losoya (94 yards, 3 TDs) and Juan Aguilera (TD) as the ground game was in full command.
Defensively, end Jacques Guillot, LB Esteven Montelongo and the boys were dominant up front, delivering punishing hits and knocking the Bloodhounds (2-2) out of their rhythm.
A potential Game of the Week next week features two unbeaten squads in Grulla and Port Isabel at Tarpon Stadium.
