Suspect in drive-thru armed robberies nabbed

The man authorities believe responsible for two armed robberies at San Benito drive-thru businesses is behind bars.

Detective Rogelio Banda Jr. of the San Benito Police Department reported Tuesday that 21-year-old Alberto M. Martinez-Valles of Harlingen was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, a first degree felony, in connection with the robberies of Kiko’s Drive-Thru on August 30 and Rosie’s Grocery Store on July 2—businesses located within a few blocks from each other on East Stenger Street.
