An investigation by the San Benito Police Department is currently underway regarding the death of five-month-old Julian Anthony Lopez, Jr.
It all started when police arrived at the 100 block of Norma Lee Lane Sunday morning in response to a call about an abandoned child.
At the scene, police were able to obtain information from the abandoned child and some family members who arrived later. According to a statement issued by the SBPD, “A medical emergency had occurred in which the mother of the child and family members rushed an infant to Valley Baptist Medical Center” due to health complications which ultimately resulted in the infant’s death.
