Regarding the charter amendments, another local newspaper is reporting that all 17 proposed amendments were defeated, conflicting with what is reported here.

Also, there is a discrepancy of 100 votes reported here for Gavino Sotelo as opposed to what is reported in the same daily referred to above. Which is correct?

Editor, this is confusing for us readers. Can you please confirm that what is reported in your paper is accurate? And can you please publish the vote tally for each charter amendment? Thank you!

    1. Mark, we are correct about charter amendment no. 1 being the only one of 17 not approved, and we were mistaken about Mr. Sotelo’s vote count, which is 624. I’ve edited the results here to reflect as much.

Hope this clears it up. I apologize for the error.

As far as a breakdown of the vote tally on each amendment, we’ll be reporting that information soon.
