San Benito police continue to follow leads in hopes of bringing to justice an aggravated robbery suspect believed responsible for the March 23 robbery of a convenience store.
As previously reported by the News, Detective Rogelio Banda of the San Benito Police Department reported Friday that a suspect described as a Hispanic male in his late teens or early 20s, and wearing sunglasses, a black cap and hoodie, walked into Jimmy’s Store located on the 200 block of Wentz St. at 9:53 a.m. demanding cash.
It was reported that the suspect displayed a firearm tucked into his waistband; however, the clerk could not describe the weapon in detail.
