On March 3, the San Benito High School Belles competed in Corpus Christi and came home with four different awards.

The group performed in three categories, these being jazz, hip hop, and in open competition, proving to be successful in each.

Captain Nadia Vela, 16, is satisfied with her accomplishments, not only in leading the team to the Best Technique and Choreography awards, but also the high point award and the Super Sweepstakes trophy.

Once again a SBHS program is awarded a state-level award. Congratulations to the San Benito Belles for your awards and kudos to their sponsors.

Along with the Chess and Powerlifting Teams State Championships and last year’s Softball Elite Eight team, SBHS teams (and especially the females) are making us proud.

    Go Hounds!
