A food fight that took place late last month at the San Benito Veterans Memorial Academy has led to the change in lunch schedules for the students.
The food fight began, according to San Benito CISD police, when one student allegedly threw a piece of bread into a group of peers. It was then contained by the schools’ principal and campus security.
However, the San Benito News has been receiving reports from the community regarding the food fight leading school officials to “crack down” on the matter by implementing stricter policies.

you guys are stupid. im a shopmore and that experence made me realize that we did it for a smart reason. you guys dont get what our generation is going through
Parents need to take their kids to church. They need God in their lives.
Excellent grammar.
Undisciplined children are the result of an undisciplined household. Students may often behave in school just like they behave at home realizing that there are no consequences. A really cold awakening will be realized by those students who do not afford the others opportunity to learn. Society is governed by rules. One has to adapt and more often than not accept. Otherwise, society has created a very special place for those that cannot and will not accept regulation.
Food fights? Delusional Religious Fanatics? VMA is OUT OF control!
The LAST thing this school needs in a bunch of religious nitwits running around wanting to HEAL everyone !
wat you are saying is that the school should force a realigon on people might not believe in no durrrrrrr
Make a policy students eat at the desks cafteria takes then thier trays. Give them collegae prep courses make it a academic challangeing schol losts of home work more class hours .Make it so they do’nt want to attend that schol and weed out the bad elements. Your true leaners who want to succed and learn and take pride in their teachers and school will stay. And yes make them also read and learn the BIBLE as a course of study! and really watch the bad ones leave.
On the lighter side if it’s stress thee kids want to let out the give them a spring break Oh we already have that .
Trying To Help & Understand, The Veterans Memorial Academy has been plagued with many disciplinary issues since it opened, I find it hard to believe and understand why the District has not come up with a plan to address and fix this issues, Maybe I have not been informed if any plans have FIXED these issues. I feel the district should involve as many constructive and level headed individuals in the community to input their thoughts to fixing this issues, the Teachers themselves are at risk of being viewed as not caring or able to do things to improve the problems. I don’t blame the Teachers, I blame some of the parents that allow this behavior to go on. Some can’t control it, others are just as bad as the students. The constant disruptions are causing stress in many students and parents lives, surely we don’t need any more. Please think outside the BOX, maybe our CHURCHES,PASTORS and CHURCH LEADERS need to STEP IN.
CALLING ALL CHURCHES AND THEIR LEADERS ,PLEASE HELP!
hey we do not need a church to help us. We did it because the schools are being to strict and if their was problems when it opened they should have punished them it is not our faults our school is so lazy
