The students attending Landrum Elementary School Friday were able to get a bit of insight to a few careers during the Career Fair held on campus.

Among those participating included H-E-B, Gladys Porter Zoo, the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department, the Darrell Hester Juvenile Detention Center, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the San Benito Fire Department, Dr. Serapio De La Rosa Dental Office, and the San Benito News.

Students, beginning with pre-kinder and kindergarteners were taken out of class by grade level to visit the career tables set up in the cafeteria, where they touched a python presented by a representative of Gladys Porter Zoo, observed the equipment used by local firefighters and learned how the newspaper gets its scoops.
