Amnesty offered on outstanding warrants

Special to the NEWS

gavelThe City of San Benito will be conducting an Amnesty Program during the months of February and March on all outstanding warrants pending before the San Benito Municipal Court. The amnesty is extended to violators with outstanding Class “C” misdemeanor warrants, most of which are traffic related.

The Amnesty Program will run from Feb. 1-March 30 and offers an opportunity for the court to be proactive with its case resolution while sending a message to defendants to take care of their business with the court. This also allows a court to increase warrant clearance by focusing on a period of time during which a warrant may be removed.
