The findings of an internal investigation into allegations a San Benito firefighter has made against the city manager will be submitted to the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office, city officials confirmed Tuesday.
On Oct. 7, San Benito firefighter Ralph Perez reportedly accused City Manager Manuel Lara of assault while at the fire station on Sam Houston Boulevard, this during a city function in which two writers for the San Benito News were present and have since been questioned by an investigator with the San Benito Police Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB).
