City of San Benito officials confirmed Thursday that pending talks with a “Texas-based company” may lead to its regional headquarters being located in the Resaca City.
If the city is successful in wooing said company to San Benito, it could mean over 100 jobs for the area.
According to Mayor Jack Garcia, in 2010 the city initiated a dialogue with the company via a mutual contact. Garcia, however, did not reveal much else, citing the premature nature of the discussions as well as city officials’ preference to upholding confidentiality between while talks between the two parties remain ongoing.
