The rise of the San Benito girls basketball squad continued Friday night as they fought through a hostile environment and found a way to beat a very good team in overtime at Los Fresnos.
This win brings the Lady ‘Hounds’ 32-5A district record to 4-0 as the team heads into the holiday break, and they are quickly making noise as to just how good their team may be.
The Lady ‘Hounds had already defeated the Lady Falcons earlier in the season in tournament play and knew full well that this game on the road would be a tough one. They seemed to take the challenge though and did it with the same defensive style that has become their trademark as the year has played out.
