Lady ’Hounds rolling towards Christmas break

By JOE R. BOWLING, JR.

As the Christmas break is now just a few days away, the San Benito Lady ’Hound basketball team is gaining momentum as they win games and they are hoping to roll into the break with a couple more wins.

Friday night the Lady ’Hounds played before a large crowd at home as they welcomed Raymondville. The game saw the team shift players around as they had to replace two starters and then ride the shoulders of Kassandra Sanchez on the way to a win.

Amanda Garza and Brianna Martell had been important factors in games played heading into the Raymondville game but were out of commission as the game tipped off. That meant that other players would have to step up from the opening tip.
