The first baby born in the San Benito, northern Cameron County area was baby Isabella Magdalena Gonzalez, daughter of Laura Canseco and Tray Gonzalez of San Benito. Baby Isabella was born at 11:48 a.m., Jan. 1, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen, weighing in at nine pounds, seven ounces.
