The San Benito Greyhound basketball team is on a mission, and so is 17-year-old center Matthew Perez.

One of the starting members on the varsity team, Matthew hopes to aid his team to reach the title of district champions this season.

Matthew, who has been playing basketball since kindergarten, grew up watching his older brother and decided to one day follow in his footsteps by putting on a Greyhound basketball jersey.
