New police vehicles arrived for the San Benito Police Department on Friday, Dec. 30.
The fleet consists of Ford Interceptors from Philpott Motors, the largest police equipment distributor in Texas, according to Assistant City Manager Arturo Rodriguez.
The cars’ original price was valued at $28,470 each, but Rodriguez said the city paid only $25,000 – $20,000 for the vehicle and $5,000 for the accompanying equipment.
