The San Benito Lady Greyhound varsity soccer team put the wraps on a perfect two days as they won the championship game of the Annual Dog Pound Soccer Tournament at home this weekend at Bobby Morrow Stadium.
After rolling through the first day of the tournament with a pair of shut-out wins in pool play the team kept it going with another pool play win Saturday morning as they defeated La Grulla, 4-0. The Lady ’Hounds moved to Bobby Morrow Stadium for the semi-finals and they again dominated with a 1-0 win over Valley View.
In the championship game the Lady ’Hounds defense was a huge part of the story as they recorded another shut-out in a rather easy 4-0 win over Edcouch-Elsa.
