San Benito, TX – Elodia Mancillas Garza, 86, of San Benito, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 12:25 P.M. surrounded by her 13 loving children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Eduardo Garza, her mother, Guadalupe Fernandez Mancillas, her father, Santos Mancillas, her brothers, Atanacio , Enrique , Pedro, and Gilberto Mancillas and one baby sister, Oralia Mancillas.
She is survived by her loving children, Dora L. G. Padilla, Eduardo (Reyna) Garza, Jr., Irma G. (Romeo) Garza, Alfredo (Aida) Garza, Sr., Mariano (Sylvia) Garza, Imelda Garza, Janie (Arnulfo) G. Flores, Josie Garza, Arturo Garza, Richard Garza, Herman Garza, Arnold (Eva) Garza, and Peter Garza. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation was held Friday, January 21, 2011 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. recited at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home North Chapel.
Funeral Mass was held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Commital Services will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
