Yolanda S. Arellano

San Benito, TX – Yolanda S. Arellano, 68, passed away on, January 20, 2011, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. She was a lifetime resident of San Benito. She was preceded in death by her parents Simon and Ofelia Sanchez; a brother Carlos Sanchez; an aunt Minerva Vasquez; four uncles Luis Corkill, Ramiro Corkill, Frank Corkill, Richard Corkill and a cousin Linda Gysin. She is survived by her husband Emet Arellano; son Mike Arellano (Shannon); granddaughter Francesca Marie Arellano; aunts Viola Gonzalez, Elvira Guerra (Rodolfo), Gloria Corkill, Olga Rodriguez (Rudy), and Irma Tamez (Raul); cousin Ruben Corkill; sister-in-laws Rosie Sanchez and Josie Walsh; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held, Saturday January 22, 2011, from 2 p.m. till 9 p.m. with rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Henry Thomae Funeral Home Chapel. Church services are set for 3 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito with private burial to follow. The family would like to thank Dr. Shenkenberg and Dr. Harrison and all their medical staff for all the tender care and love.
