A woman was arrested in San Benito on Thursday after she was accused of locking her daughter in a closet and only releasing her to eat and attend school, according to recent reports.

Leticia Ines, 41, is reportedly being held without bond and has been charged with injury to a child and unlawful restraint, among other charges.

It’s been further reported that Ines failed to appear in court earlier this week and was apprehended Jan. 20 in the San Benito area. It was not clear as of presstime Friday if Ines is from San Benito.
