The San Benito Police Department is seeking the help of the public to learn the whereabouts of Martin Pineda who is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl, according to a press release.
There are two outstanding warrants for 41-year-old Pineda stemming from an incident that occurred on Oct. 1, 2010. The incident was not reported until Jan. 7.
According to Morales, the victim was told by her friend, also 15-years-old, that they would be going to hang with some friends after school, unaware that she was being “set-up”. It was later that Pineda arrived to pick up the girls with another man only known as Pedro. When the victim asked who the men were, she was told that they were giving them a ride to where they were going to congregate.
“When they get to Pineda’s trailer, they get off, and they go inside. (The victim) saw money being exchanged,” said Morales. “At that time, the 15-year-old (suspect) and Pedro took off.”
