Three arrested for assault, victim hospitalized

A woman was hospitalized Thursday after being attacked by three people, officers from the San Benito Police Department reported.

Detective Rogelio Banda stated in a press release that Michael Mendoza, 19, Natalie Mendoza, 23, and Julissa Sierra, 19, were arrested for allegedly “simultaneously assaulting” a 30-year-old woman.

The victim of the alleged assault, which occurred near an apartment complex located on the 600 block of West Stenger Street, was hospitalized for injuries that, as of presstime, have not been released. The circumstances of the assault also remain unclear.
