A committee formed by San Benito CISD Superintendent of Schools Antonio G. Limón will be reviewing the San Benito High School cheerleading constitution in an effort to resolve concerns from parents who say that recent tryouts were managed poorly.
This is a continuation of concerns expressed by parents Valerie Sanchez and Dina L. Escobar, both of whom had their level III grievances heard Monday during a regular school board meeting. Trustees discussed the matter in closed session for nearly three hours before the board moved for Limón to resolve the issue.
According to Escobar, a break in the constitutional protocol is what prompted the grievances.
