San Benito city officials came to an impasse during mediation with the local police officers union on Wednesday concerning contract negotiations.
The mediation, which lasted almost five hours, dealt with negotiations between the City of San Benito and the San Benito Police Employees Association regarding the original police contract agreed upon last year. For the 2012 contract, the association is asking for a pay raise while city officials contend there’s no money in the budget to accommodate as much.

With the latest gunfights/murders just across the border, San Benito City Managers should give the officers the contract raise they had agreed on.
raise they agreed on? city puppets of mr lara don’t know about honesty! they only give each other raises, i mean, “cost of living adjustments” that come from more responsibilites. all those words mean that those in charge will b taken care of, police and fire u might as well wait for new admin
