Three local teens are behind bars today after police say they broke into a residence off the 600 block of Resaca Shores Drive Thursday morning. The home owner first called police after she arrived home to find a number of items missing. Jewelry, electronics, and cash were amongst the items taken. Police say they later tracked down three teens at the Best Western hotel on Sam Hoouston Boulevard, with one of the teens matching the description given prior. Once contact was made, police recovered a backpack from the suspects with two Apple Mac book computers, one of them containing a SBCISD bar code. Police also recovered two small plastic bags of marijuana. The individuals arrested were 19-year old Jesus Villareal of San Benito, 17-year old Merced Rodriguez of Elsa and 17-year old Enrique Galban Jr. of Alamo.
All three were charged accordingly and arraigned by Judge Benjamin Yudesis and bonds were set at $90,000 each.
