While traveling down business 77 early last Friday morning, a San Benito Police officer noticed two cars approaching at high speeds. After clocking both vehicles at 92 mph in a 40 mph zone, the officer stopped both drivers for racing, only to discover one of the drivers was not alone.
The drivers were identified as 42-year-old Michael Galvan and 20-year-old Christian Espinoza-Padilla, both from San Benito. According to a press release, once the officer approached Espinoza-Padilla’s vehicle, he saw that in addition to having an adult female passenger, the man also had a six-week-old infant in the car.
