Over the last year, Royalty Productions Pageant Company has made a concerted effort to be more involved with the community.
The company, which hosts both live and on-line beauty pageants, has dabbled in everything from standard community service like cleaning public places to dropping off refreshments to local police officers.
Last week, the company had its most recent pageant winners stop by at the San Benito Food Pantry (SBFP) to lend a helping hand.
“My husband does a lot of community service work himself and he really enjoys helping people out when he can, so when we saw the huge line outside the food pantry, he went inside to see how we could help,” said Royalty Productions Co-founder Estebanee Garcia. “(Forest Walker) mentioned how desperate they were for volunteers and it just made sense for us to take our pageant winners there.”
According to Garcia, all pageant winners are required to do 120-hours of community service within a year of winning the title of Ms. San Benito.
A non-profit organization founded by Estebanee and her husband Guadalupe Garcia, Royalty productions started holding Ms. San Benito pageants in multiple age divisions a few years back, though the company focuses on getting pageant winners involved with the community more than anything else.
