All-district selections announced

On Wednesday, the San Benito Consolidated Independent School District (SBCISD) Athletic Department announced the 2023 All-District High Football Selection honorees.

Greyhound running back Fabian Garcia was named 32-6A Co-Most Valuable Player while teammate Karmyne Castilleja was named 32-6A Defensive Lineman of the Year.

On offense, Aaron Corona was named Second Team All District Quarterback and Aaron Garza was unanimously named as First Team Running Back.

Angel Treviño was named Honorable Mention Running Back and Atticus De Leon was named to the First Team at the Slot Receiver position.

Gabriel Covarrubias was awarded Honorable Mention Wide Receiver and Justin Montemayor was recognized as Honorable Mention Wide Receiver.

Adam Cortez was named First Team Tight End and Carlos Vasquez was named as First Team Center.
Ethan Ruiz was recognized as First Team Guard and Vincent Muñoz was named Second Team Guard.
Greyhound Isaac Ramirez was unanimously named First Team Tackle and Diego Hernandez was named Honorable Mention Tackle.

Jonathan Juarez was named Honorable Mention Kicker and Atticus De Leon was named to the Second Team at the Deep Snapper position.
