Self-reporting damage survey ongoing

The State of Texas, through the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) has launched iSTAT, the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool damage survey, as a result of the Severe Weather Event of April 22, 2023 – ongoing, read a statement from Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino, Jr.

The objective of this damage survey is to help State and Local Emergency Management Officials across Texas identify and gain an understanding of the damages that have occurred due to the weather event.

All Cameron County residents are encouraged to submit any and all damages incurred to property, for both residence and business locations.

In Cameron County, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, Tornado Warnings, and Areal Flood Advisory Warnings were issued, with threats including damaging winds and hail.
