Tejano music luminary and Valley native Bobby Pulido visited the San Benito Cultural Heritage Museum after its exhibit by the Conjunto Hall of Fame and Museum ended. However, he was shown the past display and the jacket that belonged to his grandfather, Conjunto legend Mario Montes. Pulido, son of another Tejano standout and Valley native, Roberto Pulido, held the jacket, hugged and kissed it, and said, “This was my grandfather’s jacket… My first love for music is Conjunto because of my grandpa.” (Courtesy photos by Pete Avila)
