If you had asked him back in 2009, Matt Montalvo probably would have told you he was more likely to have a future navigating himself through a football field than through the music industry. Well, seven years later, Montalvo is preparing to release his fifth mix tape while simultaneously enjoying the birth of his second child, building his first home, and getting ready for another year working for Idea of San Benito. 
The 25-year-old La Paloma native was the latest s
peaker at the Chamber of Commerce weekly “coffee with” speaker series this past Wednesday. Montalvo talked about everything from his time practically living out of a car with his wife in California to going to night school to obtain a degree in audio engineering.
