The board of trustees looked on in support as Superintendent Dr. Adrian Vega unveiled the new 5-year strategic plan for the school district at board meeting this past Tuesday. The plan was the culmination of 3 months of work from over 140 community leaders.
“This a very exciting time for our community,” Vega said before unveiling the plan. “With this road map, we are striving to be the gold standard in every aspect of the school district.”
The plan focuses on 5 strategic priorities from Curriculum and instruction, finance, facilities, and P-20. Many of the questions brought about from the recent audit performed on the school district were addressed with the strategic plan. Findings from the curriculum audit, which will be presented on August 2, will also be incorporated into the 5-year plan.
